Camgas can provide bulk storage tanks of many applications, for more details see
our domestic and commercial pages. Tanks are available in varying sizes,
ranging from 1000 litres upwards. Camgas would provide an appropriately sized
tank for your property and application. We would supply and fit all pipe work
and fittings from the tank to the point of entry into the building. You would
be responsible for the preparing a suitable base for the tank to sit on in an
agreed location, along with the trench work from the base to the building.
We provide an automatic top up service, whereby we check tanks on a regular basis
and fill as required.
| o | Before
any installation could take place, one or our representatives would visit your
property assessing your requirements and the suitability of the proposed location
for a tank | | o | The
diagram shows an example of a typical installation and demonstrates the basic
safety requirements | | o | In
this case for a 1 tonne or 2000 litre vessel the tank must be 3 meters from building,
boundary, fixed point of ignition and combustible materials | | o | The
tanker driver needs a line of site from the tank to the tanker | | o | A
hedge is permitted on one side of the tank 1 meter away for screening purposes
but should not hinder with access or line of site |

As
from the 13th April 2009 it may be possible to switch your gas supplier without
the disruption and cost of changing your tank. Providing you are free of
contract, the new tank transfer system gives the new supplier the option to purchase
the LPG tank from the existing supplier, thereby providing continued supply. Contact
us for a quote or for further details. |
